Monday, December 26, 2001 10:25 PM - The Convention Calendar has been updated with 2012 events. In other news: Over the past couple months I have been doing research on content management systems, and I have yet to get anything working up to par with what I want it to do without programming everything I need to build this site. For those wondering why the forum registration page is broke, I had to disable it due to massive spam hits. More updates on that soon.
Saturday, May 14, 2011 11:38 PM - I'm back! Updating from, well, cloudy San Diego, California. I'm here on a short port visit. The convention calendar is current now. I'm not going to use that word I used in the previous update and again I am sorry for the extended hiatus. I should be getting some updates rolling again in June. Yes, this year.
Thursday, January 28, 2010 11:20 PM - Word of the day, Neglect. Pretty much what I've been doing with this site. For that, I apologize. I'm also sorry for not getting forum memberships approved in a timely manner. Can't say I have any real reason for my time away from updating the site, but I've been wondering what to do with the site for the years to come. Clearly my site's format and reliance on my exclusive control and data entry will never keep up with anime fandom. For this reason I'm considering reworking the site's core with a 3rd party content management system. This will be something I'll start soon for a spring/summer release.
Today's Update: The Convention Calendar is up to date.

Image Gallery making the main list very long. I added an option to sort and display them alphabetically. There are also filters to show
artist specific and
photo galleries. I have also added a Poll Center section to the forum so members can create polls on the forum. (Thanks for the idea coolbleachfan4596).

Sunday, September 07, 2008 12:48 AM - I was sitting in a barraks room away from home port with nothing else to do, so I've been sorting out some of my random downloads. I've pulled out 16 images from
Gurren Lagann and created a new series gallery. Earlier tonight I bought back one of the old domains for the site, ANIMESHRINE.NET, I'll work on getting that address working for the site soon.
Monday, July 21, 2008 11:45 PM - For anyone interested in viewing the gallery in a new way, try out the
PicLens browser plugin. I have added functionality to the gallery to generate the RSS data needed for the plugin to work with the site.

Tuesday, June 17, 2008 12:24 AM - It has been a long time since I last updated or added content to the site other than the occaisional post to the forum. The only update this time is to report that the BBCode bug in the forum has been fixed. You may now add color, smilies, images, etc. without problem. My current priority involving the site is making sure the forum script is 100% up to date, so I am installing it on my home mirror of the site. During this process I will work on fixing old posts with broken BBCode.

About Anime Shrine section that contains some historical stuff about the site and some stuff from my collections. I've sorted the menus a little differently. I'm now on version 5 of the random image script, I finally eliminated the chance of duplicate images. The site's background image has changed, it looks a little better with the darker outer edge.
Sunday, February 17, 2008 7:09 PM - Oh snap. I finished the programing on the
Video Index. This adds information on 522 Total videos in 176 Series, they're storted by media source,
DVD &
VHS. Of course, the VHS materials are the older entries and are there only for reference. This project took only 4 days of work scripting and sorting out my materials once the epiphany of how I needed it to work hit me. Now I have to get to work on getting my more recent additions to my collection entered into the database.
